   Night

They call you dark
I see light
In you, my night
You bring home my love
You are silence, you are quiet
You weave dreams, in your plight

They say you fail
I see my dale
In you, my night
Cast in shade, drained in rain
Fearless you stand,
To reach me again
You bring sleep
To make my ail brief

They call you bore
I see my door
In you, my night
Draped in illustrations, drawing pages
You paint my wish since ages
You hold my hand
To create poetry
In your sand

They call you bare
I see my fair
In you, my night
Snow and shiver
In rains night quivers
I wait for thee
As my eyes can see
Beneath the stars, beyond the sea
I know you’ll come, looking for me.

  1. Night ... hm, rules our thoughts like no other, cradles us unlike anything else. I love your Night, especially in its traces of ponderings and unleft spaces.

  2. with night i can imagine one thing, its so peaceful as if the world has fallen in trance; a time when the world rejuvenates am wide awake njoyin every moment of it :) trust me its worth living nights, not wasting them in sleeps :)

  3. A few reflections -
Why is Night so dear to many or to you? Is it because it is in a liminal stage between two days? If it is, will you not be lost in a web of transcendence, without ever being able to emerge out of it?

  4. few answers, night is bliss, no running around, it walks in its own space, u hibernate, u dream, you create a new sense after few hours of leisurely contemplation.

  5. Night is Dark and Lonely...
this is the time a person gets to be alone... its the time when the devil is smiling at you from above with his million eyes as stars...
    its the time of truth...
its the time you sleep which is a semi dead state which in turn reminds you that its an eternal fact...
    Night is Satan's dream....

  6. @ neon first, the mind never sleeps its always makin permutation-combination, weaving dreams so it never sleeps; loneliness is important to realize your "being"; satan or lucifer is the brightest star in the sky; we r all fallen beings and so satan lives in us always (not specifically night)! :)

    luv

  8. it's good you see light in dark. but is night ever really dark at all? for me it means rest and dreams and what leads me to another day. i sometimes wonder what it must be like for those in the poles who have nights that run into days and weeks. what would it mean to them? thought provoking.

  9. i endorse your comment meeradidi in all forms; nights are never dark they are interludes to another hectic day ahead. :)
